ABOUT THE PERFORMANCE
It's the 1980's on the lower east side of Manhattan at O'Malley's Irish Pub. The fiesty Miren O'Malley (Sharon Rula Backos) has been trying to run the pub herself since the passing of her husband. Miren wants to be a grandmother and retire in the worst of ways and leave the pub to her son Daniel (Todd Wagner). Mother and son disagree on almost everything especially his choice of a girl friend.
Mrs. O'Malley will have to overcome her old world views and gain faith in her son in order to keep the business in the family. Will she be able to swallow her pride and change with the times? Will she ever be able to retire? Or will her stubbornness put the family's legacy in jeopardy? Come and join the crowd at O'Malley's Irish Pub and find out for yourself how the story of this dysFUNctional family turns out.
This show contains: Irish melodies, Broadway numbers and pop songs as well as an audience sing along of "When Irish Eyes are Smiling."
This is a full musical style cabaret production about an Irish Family that owns a pub in NYC. Not a wake, a funeral or a farewell. We'll be saving you a seat ... CHEERS!
